# Javascript Fingerprinting

Javascript Fingerprinting: is a method for assessing users by collecting and analyzing data about their browser and system.

This feature helps to more accurately identify unwanted users by gathering information about their browser.

When this feature is enabled, Cloakify executes a script on the user's side that collects data about their system and then sends it to us. We analyze the data and look for signs of bots and unwanted users in the visitor's fingerprint.

This feature helps in more accurately identifying unwanted traffic but may impact the loading speed of the target page because the browser requires time to execute the script and process the request.

Check Touch Start event: This setting allows you to require touchscreen support on visitors' devices. If this setting is enabled and touchscreen support is absent, the visitor will be blocked. This can be useful in advertising campaigns targeting only mobile traffic and modern smartphones and tablets. Enabling this setting can help filter out many moderating and antivirus bots that are built on desktop browsers. (This function only works when JavaScript fingerprinting is enabled.)
